FollowUp Tracker — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026 · Publisher: Maple Byte, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

The short version

FollowUp Tracker stores everything on your own device only. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, and nothing is ever sent anywhere. Your people, notes, and dates never leave your browser.

What is stored, and where

All data lives in your browser’s local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device. Uninstalling the extension removes it.

FollowUp Tracker stores only what you save for each person:

Under the Chrome Web Store’s data categories, that is exactly two types:

Data typeWhat it covers
Personally identifiable information Names, email addresses, and company names you save (typed in by you, or accepted from Gmail sender auto-fill).
Web history Website domains saved with a person, taken from the tab where you added them.

No other data type is collected. In particular: no browsing history beyond the domains above, no location, no financial or payment information, no health information, and no authentication credentials.

What is never done with your data

Gmail

On Gmail tabs, FollowUp Tracker can offer the open email’s sender name and email as auto-fill in the add form. It reads only that sender information from the page, only to make the offer, and only on your device. If detection fails, the form simply stays manual. Nothing from your mailbox is sent anywhere.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is manual only. FollowUp Tracker has no LinkedIn permission, reads no LinkedIn pages, and performs no LinkedIn scraping or automation of any kind. On LinkedIn tabs, every field is typed by hand.
