Privacy Policy — Tab Pro by Maple Byte
Tab Pro is a browser extension that helps you manage your open tabs: park them, organize them into collections, and suspend idle ones to free memory.
What Tab Pro handles
Tab Pro handles one type of user data: the titles and web addresses (URLs) of tabs you choose to park, and pages you add to collections, along with the time you saved them. It also stores your settings (auto-suspend on/off, idle time, pinned-tab choice, theme, simple/full view) and suspension statistics (how many tabs have been suspended, and an estimated amount of memory freed).
All of this is stored only in your browser, on your own device, using Chrome’s local storage. This data is strictly necessary for Tab Pro’s single purpose: without the saved titles and URLs, your parked tabs and collections could not be restored.
Importantly, Tab Pro only saves tabs when you explicitly click to park them (Park all tabs, Park this tab, Park group, or Add open tabs). It never silently records your browsing.
What Tab Pro does NOT do
- Tab Pro does not send your data to Maple Byte or to any third party. There is no server component.
- Tab Pro does not share or sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
- Tab Pro does not track you, show ads, or require an account or sign-in.
- Tab Pro does not read the content of your web pages — no page text, images, or videos. It only sees tab titles, URLs, and site icons, which is what the browser provides to any tab manager.
- Tab Pro does not record your clicks, keystrokes, mouse movement, or scrolling.
Removing your data
Deleting a parked session or a collection removes it immediately. Uninstalling Tab Pro removes everything it stored.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date, and the change will be disclosed to users.
